If a daughter has blond hair and also has a sister with brown hair , the mother has brown and the father had blond. where does the terms recessive and dominant come in ?

Answer :

Recessive is the lesser gene, or lesser trait. The dominant would be the characteristic that is most used. It seems that the Father had blonde hair, and so did one of the daughters. The Mother has brown hair and so did one of the daughters. So there is not a dominant or recessive in this example since there is not one which has more than the other.

Blond would be reccesive to brown like blue or greene eyes would be reccesive to brown
