Weathering is the process of transformation of rocks by disintegration (physical) or decomposition (chemical) of their structures, giving rise to sediments and interfering in sedimentary processes, such as erosion, diagenesis and pedogenesis (formation of soils). Although weathering has several factors that may or may not accelerate the decomposition of rock structures, the most important factors in this are the climate and the type of rock. these factors are the most important because they act constantly and uninterruptedly on the rock.
