Answer:

The differences between plant and animal cell:

Animal cells are usually smaller than plant cells. Animal cells have more size changes as compared to plant cell. An animal cell will have a round or irregular shape whereas a plant cell will usually be rectangular.

Structural differences include:

Centrioles: Animal cells have centrioles for assembling microtubules during cell division. Plant cells lack this feature.

Cilia: Cilia are strucuture which are used by some animal cells for locomotion. Plants lack these structures.

Glyoxysomes: These structures help to degrade lipids in plants and are absent in animal cell.

Lysosomes: Plant cell lack lysosomes. In animals lysosomes are present for digesting cellular macromolecules.

Plastids: Chloroplast is a plastid which is used by plants for photosynthesis. Animal cells lack plastids.

Vacuole: Animal cells have a small pushed to one end of the cell. Plant cell have a large vacuole at the center of the cell.

Cell wall: Plant cells have a cell wall which is absent in animal cells.

Similarities between the plant and animal cell:

Similarities between plant and animal cells include:

Both are eukaryotic cells. They both have some similar organelles like cell membrane, nucleus, mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum.
