Based on what you have learned about gravity, mass, and distance, write one paragraph to answer the following questions.
1.If the moon exerts a gravitational force on you, why do you not fly out into space towards the moon?
2.Why does the moon stay in its orbit around the Earth and not fly off into space?

Answer :

Not the paragraph but things to help you make it. 1. Every single object no matter how small has gravity but the reason things dont fly to one another is because earth provides more gravitational force than we do. 2. The moon is in orbit for the same reason, it is being attracted by earth but it comes at an angle instead of directly so it creates an orbit. 3. There is nothing else providing a gravitational pull to the moon other than the sun but the moon is already in our orbit. Hope this helped
