Artists may use networking to enable political and social change. By this I mean artists would actually use business skills in order to climb the social ladder and gain publicity. Take the photographer Dorothea Lange for example...her art expresses what life was like in the Great Depression. Despite how unfair it may be, an artist doesn't just become famous for making good art; they have to know the right people. Because she lived in San Francisco, CA, one of the best places in the world for networking, we can only assume that she met just the right people to help publicize her artwork.

Artist Strategy

To make their work to be known and widely effective, artist uses many methods. According to some emminent artist, the first strategy is to capture the things which politically and socially affect large number of people. The second approach is to have greater networking.

Since, only understanding the social and political problem is not the end of Artisitic process, it needed to expressed on paper and spread to those for whom the art relates. For example the works of Keith Haring he used graffiti to showcase the New York City subculture.
