7th grade student, will get to submit a picture of yourself for the yearbook. Mr. McCluskey is working with two layout options that will highlight 8th grade students. Based on how many pages the completed yearbook utilizes, your teacher may end up with several extra pages or only a few.
If there are several extra pages, the teacher would like to use large photos of each student and has asked for your photo to fill as much of the 7” x 9.5” page as possible. If there are only a few pages remaining, the teacher would like to use smaller photos of each student to make a photo collage and has asked for your photo to be reduced to a size no larger than 1” x 1”.
The design program that Mr. McCluskey uses to create the yearbook utilizes a coordinate plane to place items in specific locations on each page. You will need to enlarge and reduce your photo using the coordinate grid provided to help determine where your picture can be located. Remember that all photos will need to be dilated without distorting the original photo.
