Why were the British able to win the Battle of Britain

Answer :

Fighting over their own country and using radar, the british could concentrate their fighters. If the germans sent over three large formations, two would be ignored and the third would be hit everything and wiped out. The british hurricane fighter was easily mass produced, resulting in a problem. The british had more planes than experienced pilots. Some pilots flew 100 combat sorties in august. They joked "never in the history of mankind, have so many owed so much to so few. Especially when they get our overtime bill." The third point was when a british pilot was shot downed, many survived to fight again. The germans were dead or prisoners of war. Finally the germans made a huge mistake, when they switched their attacks from the airfields and communications, to the cities.
