The United States did not intend to purchase the entire Louisiana territory from France. Originally, they only wanted to gain control over the port city of New Orleans. The following events show how the United States decided to accomplish this plan. Place the events in order.
This is just my best guess but I think the France gained control of Louisiana came first, then the "In the early 1800s", then the some Americans wanted to go to war then, the first one comes last.
