Answer: I believe that the way stories indicate who people are, what they value, and what scares them is by telling the way they would act in certain scenarios in their stories. Also by their reactions to the things they talk about. For example when telling a story of someone that tried to steal at a store, usually the storyteller has a reaction of disappointment or anger.
