The groups in America that did not profit from the growing prosperity of the 1920s were Farmers and Black people.
Farming in America had expandaded during the World War I since they produced and exported their food to Europe but, at the end of it, when European countries returned to produce their own agriculture, American farmers had to deal with an over-production they had a hard time selling. The situation worsen after The Fordney-McCumber tariffs, and the Depression was at its worst in the South of the country.
Black people did not profit because of the severe racial discrimination that was going on in the country, specially after the resurgence of the KKK.
