The release of fsh and lh from gonadotropes in the adenohypophysis is separately controlled by the same hypothalamic releasing hormone, gnrh. how is it possible to organize their secretion during the menstrual cycle?

The release of FSH hormone and LH varies during the menstrual cycle. During the menstrual cycle, the GnRH amplitude and pulse frequency change regularly. Changes in the GnRH pulse frequency are control by circulating levels of oestrogen and progestins. Oestrogen increases the GnRH pulse frequency level while progestin reduces it. Each group of cells are sensitive to specific GnRH pulse frequency and response only to that particular frequency.
