Eric the Red left Norway and founded a settlement in Greenland and later he had a son called Leif Ericson and when Leif grew older, he left Greenland to visit the king of Norway.

The king asked Leif to go back to Greenland to spread the Christian faith and when he left, bad storms surged on the seas and he was soon off course and he finally landed in a strange land and many historians believe it may have been the United States or Canada.
