Firstly, the judges were appointed and not elected. Hence, they were appointed and hence they have no fear of losing their jobs because of which they will take the decision that favors some big government officials and hence the interest of common man was ignored. Secondly, they had a lifetime tenure which means that they will be on the bench taking decisions for the lifetime till they do some impeachable job.
